In modern trade, many companies transport clothes for import or export. Some of the clothes can be transported folded and appropriately packaged. Another part must be transported on hangers. This type of transport is a convenience that helps preserve the good appearance of the clothes and prevents wrinkling. For this, logistics companies offer special containers and transport vehicles, called garments carriers – minibuses or trucks.
Hanging Garment Boxes
The boxes in which clothes can be transported on hangers are designed like wardrobes. The clothes are placed on the hangers through the special opening at the front. Then the opening is sealed with tape and a carton-sealing machine. The garment boxes are easily moved using the handles on both sides. The garment boxes are suitable for transporting smaller consignments of clothes with groupage transport.
Vehicles for clothes transported on hangers
These vehicles are called garment carriers. They are vans equipped with special racks for hanging the clothes. The racks and rails are chrome-plated.
Advantages of transporting clothes hung on hangers with special garment carrier vehicles
The first advantage is that each garment carrier is filled individually. Thus, if consolidated shipments are sent, shipments from different clients can be combined.
When transporting clothes that are hung on hangers, the clothes are not only well arranged and stored. One of the rules when transporting with garment carriers is that the vehicles must not be overloaded. Thus the clothes are kept in good condition.
In addition, garment carriers are equipped with a drop-down load board, which facilitates loading and unloading. Inside, the space division is implemented as a honeycomb layout. Thus the entire available space in the garment carrier is used rationally.
Security of deliveries of clothes transported on hangers in special boxes or garment carriers
To ensure the security of clothes transported with garment carriers or in specialized boxes, the vehicles are equipped with a GPS system for tracking their movement.
Modern garment carriers are equipped with an interior cab locking system, as well as a central locking of the garment carrier. They are equipped with all additional provisions for transporting clothes even in harsh winter conditions.
