The required documents if cars must be imported from a country outside the EU
The package of documents required at customs for import into Bulgaria includes not only the purchase agreement, but also a customs declaration and a few other documents. The type of documents also depends on whether the imported cars are new or used.
The staff at A Logistics have experience in preparing the package of documents necessary for each car.
Payment of duties and VAT on imports from a country outside the EU
When importing cars or cars from outside the EU, duties are due, determined according to the EU Combined Nomenclature.
If you are importing your own car from a country outside the EU and plan to establish residence in Bulgaria, you can be exempt from VAT for this car by presenting documents not only for ownership but also for use, which are tied to specific time limits.
